As evening falls over Richard’s garden, with the horizon bathed in a rosy hue, our monarch comes
forth to view the setting sun. And, as darkness covers the earth with her great cloak and the heavens are illuminated by a
thousand brilliant stars, Richard is captivated by all living things that populate the night. He is intrigued by the music
of the cricket and the whippoorwill, the bright glow of a hundred fireflies, the sudden brilliant flash of a falling star,
the intoxicating fragrance of the night blooming flowers.
Lost in his reverie, Richard descends into this wondrous world that exists only between the hours of dusk and dawn. Determined
to indulge his senses, our monarch calls upon his knights to venture forth into this realm and collect these exotic sights,
sounds and fragrances for his inspiration and entertainment.
