Joining the Order of the Troubadours

We appreciate your interest in joining the Order of the Troubadours. The Krewe is known as one of the premier Mardi Gras organizations in the City of Lafayette and the exquisite costumes at the Annual Pageant and Ball are well known throughout the country.

The date for this year's Ball is February 26, 2011. As a Krewe Member, you join in the festivities as they are planned during the year and will receive written notification, i.e. invitations to specific events, dates, etc.

Membership in Troubadours is limited, but every year we greet new members to the Krewe. Some basic requirements are:

• You will need a current Troubadours member to sponsor you.
• Initial annual dues are $450 per family. After the first year, dues are $400 annually.
• New membership is offered yearly from April through September.
• You are not required to be a local or state resident.

In order to make you more aware of the benefits derived from being a member of Troubadours, the following should be noted as some of the activities and privileges which members enjoy:

• You, your children and grandchildren are eligible to participate in the Annual Pageant and Ball.
• At present, you are guaranteed the right to reserve at least four (4) tickets to the Ball. Your ticket entitles you to a commemorative program and participate in the Krewe "Call Out" dances at the Ball.
• You may on a "first come, first served" basis, ride one of the adult floats on the Friday Night Mardi Gras Parade at a cost determined by the Float Committee. In addition, there is currently a children's float that is available on a first come, first served basis.
• You are a member of one of the most traditional and exclusive family Krewes in Lafayette.

Should you have an interest in joining The Krewe, please complete the Membership Application and include your first year's check in the amount of $450.00. Make you check payable to The Lafayette Town House Ball-Troubadours. If for any reason your application is rejected the deposit check will be returned to you.
